Leri, felt quirky bird sculpture
Leri is a wading bird, named after the River Leri which runs through the village where I live in Wales.
Leri is 17cm tall and has a lovely patterned body of dyed blue, yellow and grey Cambrian mountain wool.
My quirky birds are wrapped, stabbed with a needle, massages with warm soapy water, rinsed and then spun violently in the washing machine!! They are robust creatures.
All my quirky bird sculptures are hand made using British wool fibres and felt making techniques.
They are designed to keep you company, on a shelf, book case, window sill, anywhere their presence will make you smile.
Not toys, more friends, and must be kept away from small children and pets.
