Too big for boots, acrylic on canvas

Inspired by macro photographs of slime moulds, often spherical with fine stems.
These bulbous flowers are way too round for their stems and yet they stand up straight.
Again these are imagined forms and yet informed by my observations.
This is an acrylic painting on canvas measuring 51cm wide x 40 cm h.
