A painting directly inspired by nature; from photographs I took in Majorca of carrot flowers which grow as weeds. These amazing flowers unfurl slowly exposing thousand of seeds inside. The outer flowers appear to protectively embrace the centre which has a secretive sense to it.
I used my artistic license, choosing to paint the flower in reds and oranges which contrast magnificently with the blue, mixed with pigment from Morocco.
The canvas measures 90cm x 90cm.
